In search for Top Talent: Highlights from ECF in Boston

February 9, 2012 9:00 AM | Mike Wood for RocheCareers

In our continual search for top international talent, taking part in the European Career Fair was a great success. Severe weather conditions in Boston did not keep motivated graduates from coming in big numbers to the Fair at MIT, where our team interviewed more than 250 highly qualified candidates from all over the US. More than 100 participants attended our companys presentation and gained an overview about interesting career opportunities and what it means to work at Roche in Europe. The fair which is supported by the European Commission attracted about 100 European companies, universities and research institutes as well as 5000 students, graduates and professionals.

As part of our trip, we attended the ECF satellite events Swiss Life Science Night at the Swiss Consulate and the GAIN (German Academic International Network) -Spezial at the Goethe-Institute in Boston, where we met scientists specifically interested in working in Switzerland and Germany. Research clusters in Europe are very attractive to international scientists because of the breadth of career opportunities, high living standards and the chance to work in an international environment.

We look forward to seeing you at ECF 2013!
