Corporate Finance
Corporate Finance’s main responsibilities are to define the strategy with regard to the management of the Group's balance sheet, liquid assets, and debt, for the development of group accounting and financial reporting, for the Group planning and target setting process, for performance measurements of our divisions, tax management and for investor relations. It is also involved in implementing the Group strategy, especially when it comes to Mergers & Acquisitions. It is also responsible for monitoring and optimizing of the flow of funds between the Group's companies and an efficient financial risk management process. Finally, Corporate Finance oversees the management of the Group’s pension assets. For this purpose, it has a direct functional responsibility with regard to treasury and financing, financial risk management, taxes, accounting and controlling, financial systems, pension asset management and finance management development throughout the Group.The fast pace of change in the healthcare business constitutes an enormous challenge for Roche. In such a dynamic environment, sound investment decisions are vital to long-term success, and this is what makes close cooperation between Corporate Finance and the divisions so important.
