The financial departments’ primary objective is sustainable, long-term value creation throughout the Group. This is achieved by being key contributors to decision making and optimizing the efficiency of Roche’s business processes. In addition, the finance function is responsible for ensuring that the basic financial processes are conducted in a timely and efficient way to deliver high quality and meaningful information. The people who work in finance at Roche combine analytical skills and a willingness to take risks with a capacity for critical judgment and a readiness to understand the complexity of our business.
The finance function is a key member of the many multidisciplinary teams that contribute to making Roche a leading company. In order to support this vast field of activities, Roche’s financial function is organized into three broad areas: divisional finance and corporate finance at our Headquarters in Switzerland, and finance functions in Roche subsidiaries around the world. These three areas, whilst supporting managers at all levels, are engaged in a continuous information exchange as a prerequisite for optimal decision taking.
