Career Paths

Depending on your skills, interest and performance, the following career paths will be open to you:

Business Partner: leading to becoming a finance manager of one of Roche’s subsidiaries across the world, you will assume management responsibility as part of a larger team. You will be responsible for the subsidiary’s balance sheet and profit and loss account, use your knowledge to support business operations and handle administrative matters.

Financial expert: either at HQ or in a subsidiary, you will contribute your specialised knowledge and skill in one of the many fields of finance, including accounting, treasury management, taxes, M&A and investor relations. You will be offered the opportunity to improve and grow your skills by working with experienced professionals in each field.

What Qualifications do you need?

• A university degree in finance or economics, a finance qualification (e.g., CPA), Master in Business Administration or equivalent degree
• Practical experience, preferably gained abroad
• A very good command of English, further languages are a plus
• Readiness to work in a team,
• Flexibility, ability to cope with pressure, international mobility

How you can join while still at the University

If you are still at university and would like to supplement your studies with some practical experience of working for an international company, our internships are just the thing for you. A limited number of internships, of between three and six months, will enable you to experience our financial world and to work on some exciting projects. We would also be delighted to help you with your dissertation, if both the subject and time frame are compatible with projects in progress.
