Pharma HR operates at a local level to implement HR practices in each site or affiliate. Site/affiliate HR Business Partners can respond to the specific requirements which are in place such as those of a legal or cultural nature. Local HR will also deal with the needs of an employee which are governed at site/affiliate level such as advice on employment issues, help with conflict resolution and a range of specific personal topics from holiday entitlement to tax. Recruitment for non-global positions also takes place at local level.“The HR department is the competent partner in local HR activities."
