Our working areas and jobs
At Roche, development is a matter for pioneers. Thanks to the expertise and experience of our two primary corporate divisions, Diagnostics and Pharmaceuticals, Roche is able to take advantage of countless synergies in the field of research and development. Our efforts are further supported by a variety of technical co-operations and a network of alliance partners that help us to promote the development of individual products or product portfolios.
To assist us in achieving our endeavours, we rely on innovative and committed individuals like you. Roche has much to offer. Choose a career in the field of development at Roche, and you too will profit from our proven network of innovation, research and development … regardless of whether you’re at home in the field of biology, biochemistry, biotechnology, chemistry or pharmacy.
Roche Pharma Development has development sites in the UK, Switzerland, the United States, Germany, Austria and Australia. We also have co-development partnerships with Genentech (USA) and Chugai (Japan), jointly developing a variety of groundbreaking products for the betterment of mankind.
In the UK, a team of around 800 people lead international trials, design clinical development programmes and undertake medical evaluation of patient safety issues, lead the way in translational and biomarker development, manage UK trial centres and drive regulatory submissions for new products. Our development teams are split into four main groups, who work in close collaboration.
Medical Science
PD Medical Science provides high-quality scientific and medical expertise to the development effort.
Operations
PD Operations is the home of clinical study management, clinical study monitoring and data management resources. At Operations, you’ll be assuming responsibility for the planning and implementation of highly qualitative clinical programmes while providing input for specific scientific, medical, magisterial and commercial requirements.
Regulatory Affairs
PD Regulatory Affairs supports the Research and Development Teams, LifeCycle Teams and “mature products” group by developing and implementing regulatory strategies for the global registration and for the ongoing maintenance and issues management of Roche products.
Quality Assurance
PD Quality Assurance assists the Pharma Division in achieving and maintaining high quality standards in clinical development, trial systems and processes.
