On a Roche Apprenticeship you will gain hands-on, 'on the job', practical experience whilst studying towards obtaining qualifications. Our apprenticeships are funded and we are even able to grant a salary.
Qualifications you can receive vary by role and can suit school leavers as well as opportunities for post graduates who can work to further their education and skills up to Master's Degree level.

Applications for our apprenticeships programs start in December each year and if successful you will start between July and August.

As an Informatics IT Consultancy Apprentice you will contribute to, and learn in a team that innovates and delivers great employee experiences when our employees interact with our Digital Technology services and Workspaces.
During this exciting 4-year apprenticeship, you will work towards a fully funded Bachelor’s degree (BSc) specializing in IT Consulting whilst gaining valuable ‘on the job’ experience and mentoring from our talented experts at Roche.
As an Informatics Business Analyst, you will be collaborating with business and IT stakeholders on the business case development for new initiatives including high level solution options. You will play a critical role to model business processes, analyze data and define requirements.
During this exciting 4-year apprenticeship, you will work towards a fully funded Bachelor’s degree (BSc) specializing in Business Analysis whilst gaining valuable ‘on the job’ experience and mentoring from our talented experts at Roche.
As a Data Science apprentice you will work closely with cross-functional teams to solve complex data problems enabling us to transform data into actionable insights. You will collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to co-create data and analytics enabled solutions that help our teams fulfill our mission: to do now what patients need next.

As a Digital Transformation Data Analyst you will contribute to the wider digital transformation activities across Roche’s Pharmaceutical Late Phase Development activities, spanning clinical trial management to regulatory submissions. You will be working with colleagues to support our transformation to a data centric and digital organisation.

Burgess Hill Site
As a Diagnostics IT apprentice you will work four days each week with the cross-functional Roche Information Solutions technical experts to Install, Service, modify and participate in complex troubleshooting of the Roche information solutions in the hospital laboratory environment. A large proportion of the work is performed remotely from the customer environment using the Roche remote connectivity platform.

As a Diagnostics IT Apprentice you attend University one day each week for 4 years and study subjects including IT in business, technology, project and transferable modules, enabling you to become confident, competent and capable in a range of roles. On successful completion, you will be awarded the Degree Apprenticeship which includes the BSc (Hons) Digital & Technology Solutions (Software Engineer) degree.
As a Technical engineer you will work closely with our technical experts to service, modify and repair diagnostic testing equipment in the Hospital Laboratory environment. These testing systems are an essential component of patient care and their operation ensures that, everyday, thousands of results are generated that can help diagnose and guide decisions on patient care. The role will provide the opportunity to see systems in differing laboratory environments, like large automated solutions in blood sciences and ‘state of the art’ high volume PCR testing equipment.
During the initial 2 years of the 4 year apprenticeship program you will attend College on day release as you work towards completing Level 3 engineering qualification. When not at College you will be working in Hospital Laboratories with our engineering teams building your knowledge and experience of our systems and customers. This is also supported by formal technical training in our Training facility at Burgess Hill.
