Roche's presence in Costa Rica dates back to 1973, now operating through two main entities: its local Pharmaceutical and Diagnostics affiliates and the Roche Services & Solutions (RSS) Americas site. The company significantly consolidated its operations in 2024 with the inauguration of the Roche Costa Rica Campus in San José, bringing its various business divisions together in a modern, vertical structure.

The combined site currently houses approximately 1,300 employees, with projections for that number to grow to over 1,500 by 2025, fostering a highly diverse and multilingual talent pool. The Roche Services & Solutions (RSS) Americas center, which officially began operations in 2017, provides comprehensive and strategic end-to-end services and solutions to the company's Pharmaceutical and Diagnostic divisions throughout the Americas region. RSS Americas offers expertise across critical business areas, including Information Technology (IT), Finance, Procurement, People Support Solutions (Human Resources), Digital Communication, and other Corporate Functions.
