When people ask me how long I’ve been with Roche, I always say: “I’m home-grown”. I started as an intern with Roche 5 years ago and since then have had the opportunity to gain insights into a variety of our business areas and take over more and more responsibilities.
Currently, I’m a Learning & Organizational Development Consultant. I support individuals, teams and organisations in growing to become more effective, better at collaborating or more agile. By facilitating workshops, doing individual coaching or supporting bigger organisational transformations, I contribute to our purpose of doing now what our patients need next.

A bit more than a year ago a close friend of mine was diagnosed with cancer. I was shocked, my initial reaction being: “This can’t be true, she is too young!” Yet it was. Her tumor was analysed and the adequate therapy was chosen using one of our newest products. It was a long and difficult journey, but today she is slowly starting to have a “normal” life again. And for me that’s why we do what we do. To give people a normal life again - because it’s always too early.
The place to Work
Of course, Roche offers a huge amount of possibilities and opportunities to grow. I’ve always been supported in my development, be it by internal trainings, by getting involved in new projects or taking over new client groups. But in the end, Roche is THE place to work because you contribute to a meaningful purpose and have an impact on patients’ lives.
We are curious, caring, open-minded and diverse. In Rotkreuz, we have more than 70 nationalities. When my boss hired me, she was very proud, because with me being from Luxembourg, she had just increased our cultural diversity. After 5 years, I’m still amazed by how much passion people here have for their jobs. I also really feel that people care. They stay in touch, and support you, even if you’re not working in the same project anymore.
Rotkreuz - also called the beating heart of Diagnostics - is my homebase. As a site it’s international and business-oriented while still having a down-to-earth and friendly touch. Being involved in a global leadership development initiative gives me the opportunity to visit other sites and affiliates and gain a more holistic understanding of the Roche world.
