Two years ago, I joined Roche as a Senior Scientist in Data and Analytics, working on developing novel RNA-based therapeutics. I have a vision impairment, including tunnel vision and low contrast sensitivity, which significantly influences my daily work life.

There are unique challenges I face because of my vision impairment. For example, the gSuite's text magnification and dark mode often make fields invisible, and Google Slides can be particularly difficult to use. It requires me to frequently adjust settings, like switching on magnetic zoom or using color inversion. My workday often involves small tweaks, like double-tapping with three fingers or employing shortcuts to navigate these limitations.
