Join the Business Perspectives programme for the journey and not only for the destination.
Hi, my name is Caroline. I am a global citizen. Born and raised in France, I have thrived on the various multicultural experiences I have had in the United States, Vietnam, Switzerland, etc. And I can’t wait to see what’s next!
After my first Master’s degree in Engineering from the Ecole Polytechnique (Paris), I pursued my studies at UC Berkeley and UCSF with a Master’s in Translational Medicine. In the Bay Area, I discovered Roche’s culture for the first time during a Marketing Science internship at Genentech. Inspired and impressed by how patients are at the heart of Roche’s commitment and work, I knew at that moment that sooner or later I would return to Roche to contribute to its mission.
After working as a consultant at BCG New York in various Healthcare projects for almost two years, I decided to embark upon the Business Perspectives adventure within Roche Diagnostics. During this two-year journey, I met lots of fantastic people and learned a great deal, and I will continue to build on this knowledge as my career progresses.
The Business Perspectives programme helped me to…
…find my happy place within the organisation – While the world of opportunities is vast, it is not always easy to know if you prefer working in affiliates or in a global organisation, marketing, sales, business development or even product development. The Business Perspectives programme gives you the opportunity to try it out and to find the role that suits you the best. Spoiler alert: there might be more than one!
To people who are interested in the Business Perspectives programme, I would recommend that you…
… join the programme for the journey and not only the destination. Although the programme is a career accelerator, the first role you will take up after the programme might be somewhat similar to the role you would get after an MBA or with your current professional experience. What is important, is to see Business Perspectives as an opportunity to learn, to experiment and to challenge yourself. Be ready to leave your comfort zone!
