II measure the impact of my work by how satisfied our managers and employees are. Our corporate HR team has an impact on the business and the success of the continuous transformation of the company. Indirectly we also affect the work of the other Roche affiliates through the support we provide to the colleagues in Budapest. Over my Roche career, I have had opportunities to work on various projects with significant impacts. When we moved our onboarding process online in 2020, we had to put together new training plans to adapt to the changing needs. As a result of a great collaboration, we enhanced our materials. We created content that is interesting and easy to digest for new hires and colleagues returning from maternity leave. We asked for feedback to see how we can further improve the program and incorporated the responses. I'm proud to say that we could bring all perspectives under one roof and move things forward in a great direction. Our monthly dashboards are also essential tools for providing our leaders with valuable insights into our workforce. I've been recognized for my contributions through the People’s Choice Award and the Applause points. However, what is even more important to me is the trust I receive from my leaders when they give me more complex and complicated assignments. I'm passionate about working with people, and I genuinely enjoy helping and developing others.
The place to Work
I think Roche is a very customer- and employee-focused company, and I can identify myself with the global goals and objectives. For example, the 10-year ambition of the company also addresses the environmental impact, which is a very important aspect of the people-focused mindset that Roche represents. Transparency is another key characteristic that I would highlight here. All managers are open to feedback and suggestions. Roche offers a very competitive benefits package to the colleagues in Budapest, including an annual bonus, loyalty leave and parental leave, which I find unique on the Hungarian labor market. Roche has been a secure point in my life through the COVID-19 pandemic. It has provided job security to its employees, and we've also seen substantial growth of our workforce. Flexibility is at the center of how we work at Roche - this also helps us achieve a healthy work-life balance. I'm also happy to see that the company supports its employees' wellbeing, starting from the Medicover health insurance to the annual Wellbeing Week, through regular mindfulness messages or the different sports committees. I also want to mention the Roche Band, a unique and colorful addition to our life at Roche.
One of the key aspects of the Roche culture is that we feel valued and appreciated here, even as interns. This was very important to me when I joined the company. Diversity is another great trait of our company culture. We have many colleagues from other countries who enrich our workforce here in the Budapest office. Through my various projects, I've personally experienced a high level of collaboration within the service center and across the regions. There are several topics that we work on in partnership. In the Budapest office, we often come together from the IT, Office Administration, Internal Communication, and Leadership Team as well as the SHE and Facility Management Team to work on complex questions. Feedback is a key component of the 'people practices,' and I believe the colleagues are open to giving and receiving constructive feedback.
