Meet Narayan | Roche

I am Narayan Waman, a Senior Data QA Engineer at Roche Information Solutions India. I am a QA subject matter expert and am currently a part of the Data and Analytics Quality Assurance team.

In the midst of the unprecedented challenges brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic, my journey through the throes of this virus was nothing short of a rollercoaster of fear, despair and ultimately, resilience. I found myself in a fight for my life, grappling with a critical case of COVID-19 and overwhelmed by the loss of hope. However, as the days turned into weeks and the ICU room that had seen so many previous patients did not become my final resting place, I discovered an indomitable spirit within me.

My recovery, though slow and gruelling, served as a testament to the strength of the human spirit and the importance of faith. I learned the true value of family and friends, who stood by my side even when we were separated by the invisible enemy which was the virus. Their unwavering support and love were my lifelines during those dark days.

It was during this journey when I had almost lost all hope, that Roche, my employer, stepped in as a shining beacon of support. In the face of a dire need for oxygen concentrators, Roche Information Solutions India went above and beyond to provide me with the equipment I desperately required. Their swift response was nothing short of miraculous, and I am forever grateful for their compassion and commitment.

What sets Roche apart is not only the exceptional assistance they provided to me but also the comprehensive support system they extended to all their employees. From paid sick leave to financial assistance, remote work opportunities to mental health support, and even sending COVID-19 kits to monitor our well-being, Roche went the extra mile to ensure the safety and welfare of their workforce.
