I am Rachel and I was born in the southern part of India and raised in Nilgiris, which is a hill station in India known for its tea factories and small scale industries. Watching the entire process from plucking of the tea leaves to it reaching the consumers’ tea cups was mind blowing. Growing up in such an environment I developed an interest in supply chain field. 

My curiosity led me to choose commerce as my field of education and I pursued a bachelors degree in Business Administration in Travel and Tourism Management I then started my career as a Customer Business Analyst for a travel solution company which helped me gain experience in customer relations.

However, I wanted to learn how the end to end supply chain works and dive deeper into that subject which led me to pursue a Masters in Supply chain Management. During this Master’s programme, I got an opportunity to learn, collaborate and work with international students with a diverse supply chain background and experiences where teamwork and proactiveness was crucial.  I soon learned that Roche is the perfect place for me to drive my passion to growth.

The start supply chain programme allows me to work and experience various roles in two years while working in projects that are very enriching in terms of intellectual challenge.
