Hi, my name is…
…Tina. I joined the Finance Perspectives programme at Roche in November 2017, starting in Treasury Operations in Basel. I’m from Germany, but have also lived in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Sweden and Switzerland. I have previously held various positions in Controlling, first at an FMCG company in the UK, and more recently at a manufacturing company in Switzerland. In addition to a BA in International Relations and an MSc in International Strategy and Economics, I obtained the Chartered Global Management Accountant designation. Outside of work, I enjoy skiing, baking and trying out new restaurants.
My typical day at work is…
…non-existent. No two days are alike, as new challenges and projects are part of my daily business. Since joining Roche, I have completed assignments in Treasury Operations in Basel, in Controlling at Roche Diagnostics Malaysia, in gRED Finance at Genentech in San Francisco, in Market Access at Roche Pharma Germany and in the Center for Financial Insights in Basel, which allowed me to learn about different areas of the business. For example, during my rotation in Treasury, I supported the Treasury Operations team in ensuring that payments run smoothly and reach their destination. In Malaysia, I was working on establishing a profitability tool, while in gRED Finance I supported some of our molecules in early clinical trials as Project Finance Manager. Currently, I am working in my first post-programme position, supporting our R&D organisation as Global Finance Business Partner.
