Meet Ines About Development And Culture

My name is Inés and I’m 37 years old. I have been working at Roche for seven years now, and I have always been involved with tools and licences. Recently, I took a step forward in my career by joining the navifyTeam in the current Product IT Center of Enablement. The NAVIFY® Decision Support portfolio is a fully integrated collection of scalable, secure workflow solutions and apps designed to empower clinical care teams. I am located in Sant Cugat’s offices, in a recently inaugurated Roche building near the cosmopolitan city of Barcelona. Continue reading and discover more about my Roche adventure.

I had been working in the biomedical field for six years when the opportunity to join Roche presented itself to me. I remember what a big deal that was for me at that time, moving from a medium-sized company to a multinational. It was both exciting and scary! I just needed a couple of months to realize how wise my decision was.

In 2015 I joined the Tools & Licence Management team and started my journey in the intricate and thrilling world of software development tools, helping projects throughout their development paths.

I began taking the proper training, I took the necessary trips to visit colleagues from other countries, and I perfected my usage of business English. I was amazed at how Roche trusted my capabilities and invested in them. Everybody leads at Roche and that is one of the most efficient methods for such a large multinational company to be successful. As long as you master the required knowledge, your opinions matter and are frequently key to making decisions. That makes us all leaders in our expertise.

As I mentioned before, recently I was given the opportunity to change from a Licence Manager role to a Tools Solution Manager role within the new Digital Product & Enablement domain. I’m part of the Cloud and Edge Product Foundation team, and together with my colleagues, we are enabling Roche Pharmaceuticals and Diagnostics digital product teams by providing the best platform services for their needs. At Roche, the main motto for all of us is “Doing now what patients need next” and that is what motivates and leads my everyday actions. Working together for a common goal that will make our patients’ lives better is the best impact I could think of.
Over the years, I have had the opportunity to perfect my skills and get involved with fascinating projects and products. I have thriven both personally and professionally and become part of a rich multicultural environment. I have found a passion and a purpose for my job in the Roche goals, which became my own goals as well with time.
