
The Finance Perspectives Programme is the flagship global finance rotational development programme at Roche. It is a 2-year leadership development programme with 4 rotations across multiple geographies and business areas (Pharmaceuticals, Diagnostics and Group) at Roche.
The programme identifies high potential early in career talent, accelerating their professional development and enabling them to be key contributors to Roche's purpose—and, most importantly, to make a difference in patients' lives.

Programme Details
The next programme is planned to start on 1st September 2025, with applications open from 3rd February to 3rd March 2025. The application link will be available here—remember to submit the required business case with your application.
The recruitment process:
After the initial pre-selection rounds, which include an online assessment, your video answers to selected questions, and virtual interviews, the final candidates will be invited to a virtual assessment centre.
To be a successful candidate, you must meet the following requirements:
Strong interest and willingness to develop a career in Finance in the Healthcare industry
Working experience in a role in Finance, Healthcare Industry, Tech or Consulting, ideally around 3 to 5 years
Global mindset with a high degree of global mobility during and after the programme
Excellent academic profile: MBA or Master’s degree in Finance, Business, Data Science or Life Science
Full English proficiency, any other language is a plus
In addition, strong candidates meet the following requirements:
Lived in an emerging market and built a deep understanding of VUCA (Volatile, Uncertain, Complex, Ambiguous) environment
At least one year of experience abroad, either through work or study outside your home country.
Exposure to projects related to innovation in digital or advanced analytics technologies
The aim of this programme is to
Develop future finance leaders (see Roche Leadership Commitments) who demonstrate excellence in finance and in leadership
Build a well-rounded understanding of Roche’s business model and Finance functions across different divisions
Expand Roche’s talent pool with individuals who bring global experience and a strong global mindset
For a rotational period of two years
Participants will be involved in 4 assignments, each rotation being between 4 to 8 months long
The assignments will cover different geographical locations of Roche’s business
Each of these assignments will introduce participants to different areas within Finance as well as the different divisions of Roche: Pharma, Diagnostics and Group
Participants will have access to senior managers through a Steering Committee and will be assigned a mentor to support their career development
During the programme
Experience through assignments in Group functions - Finance, Pharma and Diagnostics at headquarters and at affiliates in different countries
Receive mentorship and gain valuable exposure to senior leaders in finance.

We have a proven support structure in place to guide you throughout your journey.
Mentorship: Throughout the programme, each individual will be assigned a mentor who will be available to provide support with personal and professional development as well as long-term retention opportunities.
Steering Committee: A Steering Committee consisting of Senior Leaders and Managers with key leadership roles across Finance, will assist the Perspectives Participants in developing their talent at Roche.They provide direction for the long-term sustainability of the programme and oversee the participants' progress, and provide advice for opportunities.

Meet Johanna
I believe that the Finance Perspectives Programme has given me a very unique opportunity to grow not only on a professional level but also on a personal level. By navigating life in unfamiliar territory I have learnt a lot about myself and what kind of leader I want to be. And I have learnt a lot about Roche, and the environment that we operate in and I have built a network that spans across continents, divisions and functions.
