The Roche Procurement Perspectives Programme is offering a rapid-fire induction experience into the core procurement functions across our operating businesses - the global procurement, diagnostics direct procurement, Roche solutions and services, and commercial affiliates. 

In this dynamic 2-year programme, you’ll embark on 4 rotations across global geographies and business areas in procurement. It is a programme designed to accelerate the growth of high-potential early-career talent. This journey will equip you to make a meaningful impact on patient's lives and empower you to become a future leader in procurement.

Programme Overview

The program serves as a powerful springboard to a strategic role, designed to develop future procurement leaders who demonstrate functional excellence. The core goal is to provide you with an accelerated, global experience that builds a comprehensive understanding of Roche’s business model and procurement functions across all areas.

To be a successful candidate, you must meet the following requirements:
  • 3-5 years working experience in procurement, supply chain, data science, healthcare industry or consulting related to innovation in digital or analytics technologies
  • An ambition to become a leader in procurement
  • A global mentality
  • Global mobility during and after the programme
  • Full english proficiency

For a rotational period of two years
  • Participants will be involved in 4 assignments, each rotation being between 4 to 8 months long
  • The assignments will cover different geographical locations of Roche’s business
  • Each of these assignments will introduce participants to different areas within procurement as well as the different divisions of Roche: pharma, diagnostics and group functions
  • Participants will have a senior leader assigned as a mentor to support their career development

During the programme
  • Experience through assignments in global procurement, diagnostics direct procurement, and Roche services and solutions at our headquarters and commercial affiliates in different countries.
  • Receive mentorship from a senior leader and gain valuable exposure across all levels of procurement. 
  • Wide networking opportunities across the different functions in procurement and beyond.

After the programme
  • Global working experience and a cross-cultural mindset
  • Broad understanding of procurement functions and senior leadership
  • Increased readiness for further roles within Procurement

We have a proven support structure in place to guide you throughout your journey. 
  • Mentorship: Throughout the programme, each individual will be assigned a mentor to provide support with personal and professional development as well as long-term retention opportunities.
  • Steering Committee: A steering committee consisting of senior leaders and managers with key leadership roles across procurement, will assist the participants in developing their talent at Roche. They provide direction for the long-term sustainability of the programme and oversee the participants' progress, and provide advice for opportunities.
